ICMB XI’s COVID-19 safety policies have been developed with the health and safety of conference attendees, staff, and the host community in mind.

Please note that by registering for the conference, you have agreed to abide by the policies stated below.

Please email us if you have any questions about these policies.

Mandatory Measures

  1. All registered participants are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19, unless they have an exemption (see below). Conference attendees will be asked to show proof of vaccination at registration check-in.

    • A digital vaccination record or a photograph of a paper record is acceptable. · For international travelers, any documentation that meets the CDC’s requirements for air passengers is acceptable.

    • The vaccination requirement can be waived for participants who are exempt for medical or other personal reasons. We request that participants with an exemption please email us ahead of time.

  2. All participants must monitor their symptoms and complete a daily self-assessment before leaving their lodgings to join the conference.

    • If you are sick with COVID-19 symptoms: please assess with a rapid-self test (as below), and/or do not attend conference activities.

Recommended Measures

  • We invite and encourage participants to wear a high-quality mask as much as possible when indoors. Please bring your own if possible. Some high-quality masks also will be available at the registration desk for participants who need them.

  • Follow the CDC guidelines for using rapid self-tests to prevent the spread of COVID-19:

    • Test immediately if you have any COVID-19 symptoms
    • Test within 5 days if you were exposed to someone with COVID-19
    • If feasible, please test immediately before attending ICMB XI.

Limited supplies of rapid self-tests will be available at the registration desk. We encourage attendees who have access to such tests to bring their own supply. Rapid self-tests can be purchased as needed at local pharmacies for USD $10–$12 per test. See our travel page for information on the pharmacies closest to the conference venue.
