Travel Awards

The ICMB has always encouraged the attendance of Early Career Scientists but we need your help! Even if you will not attend the Conference, you can DONATE HERE. If you are attending ICMB XI, and make a donation of $50 or more when you register, you will receive a free Conference T-shirt! The SSC, LOC and future awardees very much appreciate your contribution!

ICMB XI is offering at least one scholarship in each of the following categories:

  • Judith A. Pederson and James T. Carlton Early Career Scientist Travel Award ($1,000) Eligibility: Scientists who have received their highest degree (BSc, MSc, or Ph.D.) within the past three years.

  • Domestic Student Travel Award ($1,500) Eligibility: Current students and students who were enrolled at any point during 2021 and reside within the United States.

  • International Student Travel Award ($2,500) Eligibility: Current students and students who were enrolled at any point during 2021 and reside outside the United States.

Travel Award Application Instructions:

  1. Prepare an abstract of the research you plan to present and obtain a letter of support from a mentor. Abstract format can be found here.
  2. Do not begin registration or submit your abstract through the regular process yet. Instead, fill out and submit the Travel Award Application Form below, including uploading your abstract and letter of support.

Deadline for Travel Award Applications is January 15, 2022.

Applicants and awardees will be notified via email by February 7, 2022.
