Society for the Study of Marine Bioinvasions

The Society for the Study of Marine Bioinvasions is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to facilitate the exchange of ideas and research results among scientists and policy makers from around the world about marine invasive species. It holds the International Conference on Marine Bioinvasions in furtherance of this goal.
GiMaRIS

Since 2006 GiMaRIS specialises in marine research, inventory, & strategy solutions focusing on consultancy and monitoring projects in temperate Atlantic seas, the Ponto-Caspian and Indo-Pacific waters. GiMaRIS works mainly for governments, fisheries, port authorities, dredging companies and shipping companies. This concerns risk assessments, but also the development of management and control protocols aimed at minimizing the ecological impact of maritime activities in general and the thereby obliged monitoring. Fieldwork projects concern coral reef systems in Indonesia, surveys along the N American east coast, species assessments of the Wadden Sea and surveys of ports.
The North Pacific Marine Science Organization (PICES)

The North Pacific Marine Science Organization (PICES), an intergovernmental science organization, was established in 1992 to promote and coordinate marine research in the North Pacific and its adjacent seas. Its present members are Canada, Japan, People's Republic of China, Republic of Korea, the Russian Federation, and the United States of America.

Associação Oceano Atlântico is a non-profit organization based on Madeira Island, dedicated to the preservation, study, and sustainable development of the Atlantic Ocean and its coastal ecosystems. Rooted in a deep respect for the sea, the association promotes marine research, environmental education, and community engagement to foster a more harmonious relationship between people and the ocean.

With a strong focus on the unique biodiversity of the Macaronesian region, Associação Oceano Atlântico collaborates with scientists, educators, local communities, and policymakers to support conservation efforts, raise awareness about marine issues, and encourage responsible ocean stewardship.
